Definition of Electrical Steel

Electrical Steel is widely used for the material of iron core (Motor and Transformer Core) of electronic products. There are manufacturers, POSCO in Korea, JFE and NSC in Japan and also there are the other manufacturers in Taiwan and China.

 
Grain - Oriented Electrical Steel

The easy magnetization direction of grains is parallel to the rolling direction. This type of steel has superior magnetic characteristics in the rolling direction, and is used in the manufacturing of large, medium and small-sized transformers, distribution transformers and reactors.

 
Non - Oriented Electrical Steel

This steel with uniform magnetic characteristics in rolling and in other directions is widely used in the iron core materials or rotary machines form large transformers to small electric precision motors. It also has good characteristics for use in small transformers.


Application (Usage)

One of the main fabricated products of Electrical Steel is Motor Core.
Motor core means iron core which make up the motor stator and rotor(Rotor or amature).
It is manufactured by stamping to fit the shape and lamination to fit the thickness.
On the base of various molding form, it has been used for home electronic appliances, automotive tooling, equipment and offices, etc.

Also, Transformer core has been used for transformers converting into a certain voltage depending on the usage.

In addition, it can be used for power generation, transmission facilities, industrial plants and a key component of the transformer etc so that it is used throughout all the general life and industry fields.
